Green Street Hooligans
Okay, so I watched this movie last night and I really really liked it. I was surprised that I enjoyed it too because when Jason brought it home and told me what it was about I thought great: another sports movie. But it is so much more than that, in fact they hardly even showed that much soccer. I was also skeptical b/c I don't usually like movies with lots of violence but like I said I really enjoyed it and this movie needs the violence to get the point across.
I was very impressed with Elijah Wood's performance, it was a break away from the fluff that he usually does. And the English actor, Charlie Hunnam, let's just say I would watch the movie just to see him, what a hottie!!! Claire Forlani is in the movie as well, and also gives a pretty good performance.
Anyway, below is a description of this movie and I hope that some of you will rent it and let me know what you think.
Unjustly expelled from Harvard when a stash of cocaine is found in his possession, Matt (Elijah Wood) moves to London to live with his sister and her husband Steve (Marc Warren.) He is quickly introduced to Steve's chirpy, cock-sure younger brother Pete (Charlie Hunnam.) Initially, Pete is reluctant to get acquainted with Matt and allow him to tread around the capital city with him because he may be seen by others as an 'outsider', but after a heavy drinking session with him and his mates he quickly changes his opinion of him. On the way back from a football match, Matt is viciously accosted by a gang of Birmingham City thugs, until Pete and his friends step in and save him. It is from here that Matt learns the truth about Pete and his friends- they are football hooligans, operating the GSE (Green Street Elite) 'firm.' Initially afraid of the violence, Matt soon ends up becoming as desensitized to it as his new found friends- but as events roll on, suspicion, shocking revelations and unsettled scores combine to a devastating climax where London's most fierce football rivals- Millwall and West Ham United- are set to go head to head.

I Can't Go A Week w/o Talking About Brit Brit
"Britney wants to come home," Kentwood mayor Harold Smith tells In Touch Weekly. "She's building more rooms for her growing family. She wants a nursery and some kids' rooms."
It's about time!
Britney is reportedly moving back home to Kentwood, La., to be closer to her mom, Lynne, and family. And, according to In Touch, K-Fag supports the move, which may help solve some of their marriage problems.
When The Federjerk is in Kentwood, he doesn't want to stay with his mother-in-law, says a family insider. So Britney is also looking to buy another house nearby.
Britney wants Lynne to help with the kids, but Kevin's wary, says the mag. "He likes Lynne but doesn't like her getting involved in their relationship," an insider says.
This seems to be legit, as the pub is even reporting that Spears has already met with an ob-gyn in nearby Baton Rouge to discuss having a C-section there, a pal says.
While Britney hopes it will mean that Kevin parties less and stays home more, he may find himself going stir crazy in the tiny "country" town of Kentwood, which has a population of 2,468.
Britney believes taking a low profile in Louisiana will strengthen her bond with Kevin. A pal says, "She loves Malibu but feels she'll end up divorced if she stays there - at least for now."
Damn. Maybe you should stay in Malibu then, Brit!

Baby Post Is One Month Old Today!
Alright, we made it! Baby Post is one month old today! My little meatball is growing so fast I can't believe one month has already gone by. Pretty soon he will be 18 before I know it and I will be getting jealous of all the girlfriends that he is going to have b/c he is so freaking cute- he takes after his mother in the cuteness department :)!
I love myspace.com
So, me and a friend of mine, let's call her "Kim" used to make fun of everyone that used myspace.com. Yep, we would say what dorks they were. Well, then "Kim" decided to join myspace and I was left all to my lonesome to make fun of everyone! Well, "Kim" finally talked me into setting up a myspace page so I can spy on people and connect with people that I haven't talked to in ages. Well, I love myspace! I see why it is so addicting. Since joining last night I have connected with 2 people from high school that I had not talked to since 1997, crazy!!!! Now when my little meatball is sleeping I can waste away the day talking to people and looking up people, what a great way to pass the time by, but it is sooo addicting! So for those of you on myspace, I too have finally joined the myspace revolution, and I couldn't be happier!

Eat This, Marc Cuban!
So everyone knows that I hate Marc Cuban, and if you didn't know- I HATE MARC CUBAN! It brought me great joy to see the Miami Heat beat the Mavericks in Dallas so Marc Cuban could cry like a little baby. He was so sure that his team was going to win-well the asshole was wrong! We shoved the win in his face and took home the trophy. Before the game they were interviewing him as he walked on his treadmill( what a dork) but unfortunately my little meatball was crying so I missed most of the interview, but I did see that over the years he has had to pay the NBA over 1.5 million dollars. What an asshole, he needs to learn how to have some class- however I have a feeling that it will never happen. Anyway, I just wanted everyone to know how happy I am that the Miami Heat won last night :) Give them hell Shaq!

Oops She Did It Again!
Okay, so yes I know I always pick on Brit Brit, but this time I just can't keep it to myself. So over the weekend I was watching the Matt Lauer interview with our favorite girl Brit Brit and hello, this poor girl; her momma needs to have a serious talk with her! First off, that outfit, what was she thinking???? I know she is around 7 months pregnant, but wait when asked how far along she was she replied: she really didn't know. Hhmmmm, nice answer, but back to her outfit, good god!! Words can't even describe how tacky that outfit was. Then if I had to watch her chomp on her gum like a cow anymore I was going to loose it. She really does look like trash when she does that. And for those of you that read my previous blog on her, I believe I said the same thing! Please chew your gum with your mouth closed!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah, and like do you really like think she is country?! If she uses the word "like" or says that "she is country" one more time I'm going to write her a letter and post it to her blog! This poor girl really needs to get a new PR person because she has no interview skills, she can't talk, she can't dress and she obviously can't chew with her mouth closed. The only thing that I will agree with her is the media do need to cut her some slack on her mothering skills. As a new mom I do understand how hard it is to take care of a newborn baby. My little guy scares the hell out of me sometimes and I only pray to God that I am doing everything right and I don't have hundreds of people following me around. But other than that our girl Brit Brit needs to take an etiquette class and please please dump K-Fed!!!

3 Weeks Down!
Well, 3 weeks today and we have all survived…so far! Today is baby Griffin’s 3-week anniversary. I can’t believe that it has already been 3 weeks, my how time flies. 3 weeks of sleepless nights, 3 weeks of stinky diapers, 3 weeks of lots of crying, 3 weeks of dirty clothes, 3 weeks of spit- up, 3 weeks of non-stop feeding, and much much more. Although I am pretty much exhausted and out of it all the time I must say that I wouldn’t change this time for anything and I love spending all this time with the little guy! Actually he isn’t all that little anymore, we went to the doctor today and he weighs exactly 9 pounds. My little baby meatball is more like a little meatloaf now :). Anyway, I just had to let everyone know that he is 3 weeks old today and going strong.

Why am I so freaking cute?!
Okay, so today is the day that me and Griffin attend that mom and baby group every Tuesday from 11:30-1pm. So when I go out in public after having my baby I like to look cute, since most of my days are spent at home in my pj's w/o any makeup. Well, the other mom's in this group must not feel the same. My question to you is- why is it that once a woman becomes a mom most of them feel the need to dress like a "mommy"?? The moms in this group are all pretty much around the same age as me, late 20's, early 30's but they dress like the mom that is in her 40's or 50's, you know what I mean. Baggy khaki pants, mayonnaise dresses, pants with waists hiked up to their boobs-what's up with that? I am a new mom and I do not feel the need to sacrifice my sense of style
just because I am a mom. I am proud to be a mom but I still want to dress cute and trendy the way I did before I had my baby. Do you really think someone like Gwen Steffani is going to give up her funky style for a pair of chino's, I think not, and neither am I. So word of advice to the new moms out there and moms to be one day- don't change your identity and sense of style because you are a mom, you are still the same cute person just with a baby. So needless to say, me and baby Griffin are the cutest mom and baby in the group, but of course I'm sure you already knew that.

Why I Love Nick Lachey..Seriously
Okay, so this weekend Jason had baby duty so that allowed me some time to catch up on my trash TV watching that I have had tivo'd from the week before. I guess it was Saturday night around 11pm when I decided to watch VH1's Behind the Music: Nick Lachey. For those of you that know me, you know that I can't stand Jessica Simpson and when I found out that she was divorcing Nick I was so glad, b/c I knew that he could do way better. Now, I know that many of you, especially my friends in Texas really like Jessica, but I have always liked Nick better, so whatever. He has always been the sweet, down to earth one while Jessica always had to be in the spotlight putting business before her marriage. If anyone gets a chance to watch behind the music I suggest you do, you really learn how Nick and his brother struggled to start out in the industry and that they weren't a manufactured boy band out of Orlando like so many of the other boy bands out there. Anyway, back to why I love Nick. So as he was being interviewed for this story they asked him what was really important to him and he said something around the lines of: It doesn't matter how rich or famous he is, what matters most to him is his family. Then he started to cry as he talked about his new niece and how happy he gets when he holds her. He then said that all he really wants is to be married and have kids and he doesn't mind if he is the stay at home dad to do that. After watching him cry it made me like him even more, although my husband said that crying made him a douche bag, but whatever!!! I think it shows how sensitive Nick is and that is just one more quality us girls love about him. I know that one of these days he is going to settle down with some really awesome girl and it is going to make Jess really jealous :)

2 Weeks Old Today!
For those of you thinking about starting a family and having kids here is another amusing story to amuse you in honor of Griffin being 2 weeks old today! Yesterday morning around 6am, (keep in mind I had been up with him since around 1:45am), I had quite an experience with the little meatball. I was almost done feeding him when I heard my little piece of heaven make a squishy sound, and as in squishy I mean a huge poop! So I get up to go and change him and I feel something wet all over my pj pants….. Well, it seems that the poop juice went through his diaper and his nightgown and onto my pj’s!!! Crazy, right?! Don’t worry, there’s more. So then I am changing him, and trying to be as quick as possible and covering up his manhood so he doesn’t squirt all over the place. Well, I was not quick enough that morning b/c right as I was almost done with his changing he squirted his pee all over the place! Oh the joys of motherhood. So, happy 2 weeks baby!

Baby Genius
Okay, so I always told myself that I would never be one of those moms that always talked about how wonderful their baby was or how smart their baby was, yada yada yada. Well, that may all change. Today me and baby Griffin went to a mom and baby group where new moms in the area get together and talk about baby stuff and whatever issues they are going through. Well, my baby was definitely the best looking baby out of all the brats there, seriously, I'm not kidding, some of those babies- well, let's just say had a lot to be desired in the looks department. Griffin was also the best behaved baby as well. He slept the whole time and didn't make a peep, whereas a bunch of the other babies did cry and I might add that Griffin is only 10 days old and all the other babies were like 5-6 weeks old, so I figure it is pretty safe to say that I have a baby genius on my hands, just kidding, but seriously, he must be smarter than the average baby. I just wanted to let everyone know that my baby is super cute and super smart ( he must get that from his mother)!
