SO AS YOU SAW IN MY LAST POST, MY GOAL WAS TO HAVE THE BEST KID BACKYARD IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. FOR THOSE OF YOU W/O KIDS YOU ARE PROBABLY THINKING LAME, RIGHT? WELL, ONCE YOU HAVE KIDS YOUR PRIORITIES SHIFT, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS ARE YOUR KIDDOS. SO, MY THINKING WAS TO GET THE BEST PLAY YARD AND EVERYONE WILL WANT TO COME TO OUR PLACE TO PLAY. OF COURSE WE WOULD NEED TO GET A FEW MISC. OUTDOOR TOYS AS WELL, BUT THAT IS EASY ENOUGH.
WELL, YESTERDAY THERE WAS A NEIGHBORHOOD CONVENTION IN OUR CUL DE SAC ( NOSEY MOMS AND THEIR KIDS PLAYING IN OUR STREET) AND I HEARD THAT ONE FAMILY IS PUTTING A $6,000 SWING SET IN THEIR BACKYARD!!!! YES, THAT IS NOT A TYPO $6,0000. tHAT IS A HELL OF A LOT OF MONEY ON A SWING SET. SO I HAVE A FEELING THAT THEIR PLAY YARD MAY BE A BIT BETTER THAN OURS!!!! SO OF COURSE I AM PISSED!!!!! THERE IS A GROUP OF LADIES AND THEIR KIDS THAT HANG OUT IN THE NEXT CUL DE SAC OVER (THIS IS WHERE THE SWING SET WILL BE- $6,000) AND THEY CONSIDER THEMSELVES TO BE THE COOLEST OF THE COOL. YEP, I KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE HIGH SCHOOL RIGHT!!!! AND MOST OF THESE MOMS ARE 12 YEARS MY SENIOR. THEY ARE ALL AROUND 37+ WITH BABIES. IF I AM 40 WITH A 1 YEAR OLD- SHOOT ME!!!!! SO ANYWAY, WE ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE COOL CREW, SO I WANTED TO START MY OWN COOL CREW. AND ONLY THE PEOPLE THAT I INVITE CAN PLAY IN OUR COOL YARD! BUT NOW MY THEORY IS BLOWN B/C EVERYONE IS GOING TO WANT TO HANG AT THE EXPENSIVE SWING, RIGHT?! WRONG!!!!!!!! I AM WAY COOLER THAN ANY OF THOSE 40 YEAR OLDS AND IF THEY DON'T LIKE ME AND JASON-TOUGH!!!! I CAN'T HELP IT THAT WE ARE ONLY 28 AND 29 AND LIVING IN THE SAME HOUSES THAT THEY ARE AT THEIR AGE. SOMEONE ONCE TOLD ME THESE LADIES WERE JEALOUS OF US B/C WE WERE SO YOUNG WITH KIDS AND A NICE HOUSE, ETC... WELL, GET OVER IT! B/C NOT ONLY ARE WE THE YOUNGEST PEEPS IN THE HOOD BUT WE ARE THE COOLEST CATS AND WE'LL SHOW THEM!!!!!

Ariele, please don't let that high-school-mentality, 40-year old "cool" women get to you!!...They are just being sooo childish!!!! HOW UN-COOL IS THAT?!?!?! Uh, HELLO!!! If you have to TELL people how cool you are, and buy things to make yourself cool, YOU REALLY AREN'T THAT COOL!!!!! It looks as if they are BUYING their friends (AND their children's friends!!)Honestly, are the kids going to know how much you spend on the backyard? Don't think so!!! You and Jason just hang tough! Oh my goodness - I don't know what I am more amazed at - the $6K swing set or the junior high mentality of the women in your neighborhood!
1. You grew up without a $6000 swingset, and this did not cause you to go into therapy.
2. Do you really want to hang out with people that don't care for you for any reason - HELL NO!
3. In all of the places that dad and I have lived - our closest friends have never been our neighbors.

Ariele, just to let you know, my swingset that provided me with lots of entertainment,did not cost anywhere near $6k!!!! To Griffin and Peyten, a swingset is a swingset, as long as a good time can be had on it!
Piss on your dang neighbors..they all sound so rude and NEW ENGLAND!!!!! You and Jason have so much to be proud of and do not need any of them to validate that for you or anyone else!!! (Don't make me come up there!!!;)
and seriously...who tells the WHOLE neighborhood how much they spend on a swingset?!?! You and Jason, go and pick out the swingset that looks to be the most fun and you and the kiddo's enjoy it!!! :) (and Nani D will too when she comes for a visit!!)

First off, the price of a swingset doesn't make your backyard cool, it is the people in it that make it fun. I guarantee those people need to spend a lot of money to try to have friends because they are lacking in some way.
I would rather hang out in a backyard with no toys and play a game of tag with the Post family. Swing sets get old...imaginations are always different and much more fun.
Don't hang out with those 40 somethings when you can come down to Needham and hang out with this old 30 year old.
Hang in there, I guess some women never leave high school. To play their game, just go for a walk past their house as often as possible, they will be so jealous you are young with a perfect family and still look great.
By 40 you would think they would have already learned that "money doesn't buy happiness".

Hey Bug,
Just one more thing - please do not be so judgemental about how old a woman is when she decides she wants to be a mother. You made your choice to have your family while you are in oyur twenties - everybody has different circumstances and reasons for when they start their family - with or without a partner. Women who have come before you have made it possible to do so without being judged crazy or a tramp.
Do not forget that my beloved mother - your grandmother - gave birth to her first daughter when she was 23 and had her last daughter at 43. Just think - if somebody had shot her when she was pregnant at 43 - I would not have my baby sister, and you would not have your Auntie Nina!
