Griffin and santa the second time

yep, that's my boy. After waiting 1 1/2 hours to get his picture with santa this year, he cried and cried and wet his pants! That's my boy. Good thing while we were in florida we took his pic with santa but i only have a hard copy of that one, and of course he had a big smile on his face!

HI ALL, MY COMPUTER ISN'T WORKING SO I HAVE BEEN USING JASON'S WORK LAPTOP. HOPEFULLY ONCE MINE IS WORKING AGAIN I CAN POST A BETTER BLOG WITH PICS, B/C I HAVE TAKEN SOME HOLIDAY PICS OF OUR HOUSE AND ALL THE SNOW :) HOPE TO BE BACK UP AND BLOGGING SOON.

WE'RE BACK

SO WE ARE FINALLY BACK HOME FROM SUNNY WARM FLORIDA. WE HAD SUCH A GOOD TIME. WE WENT TO THE ZOO, THE BEACH, THE PARKS, BUTTERFLY WORLD, BOATING AND PLAYED OUTSIDE EVERYDAY. GRIFFIN LOVED ITB/C HE GOT TO WEAR SHORTS AND T'S AND NOW HE IS WEARING LAYER UPON LAYER OF CLOTHING. IT IS SOOOOOO COLD HERE! THIS AM MY CAR SAID 27 DEGREES!!! HOW CAN IT BE THAT COLD!!!! ANYWAY, WE ARE BACK IN BOSTON FOR A WHILE NOW SINCE I CAN'T FLY AND I'M SURE THAT WITH 2 BRATS WE AREN'T GOING TO WANT TO MAKE THAT ADVENTURE BY PLANE ANYTIME SOON :)

THIS WEEK WE HAVE JUST BEEN GETTING BACK IN THE SWING OF THINGS. I HAD MY DR. APPOINTMENT AND EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD. WE ARE AT THE POINT WHERE I GO EVERY 2 WEEKS NOW. GRIFFIN HAD HIS 18 MONTH CHECKUP AS WELL AND SO FAR SO GOOD. I CAN'T BELIEVE WE HAVE MADE IT 18 MONTHS ALREADY. TIME FLIES WAY TO FAST!!!!! GRIFFIN ALSO HAD HIS FIRST DENTIST APPOINTMENT THIS MORNING TOO. HE DID REALLY GOOD, EXCEPT SHE TOLD ME GRIFFIN IS GETTING ALL HIS TEETH IN AT ONCE! HE ONLY HAS 8 TEETH RIGHT NOW, AND HE IS GETTING HIS BOTTOM MOLARS ALONG WITH LIKE 4-6 OTHER TEETH ALL AT ONCE. LORD, GIVE ME PATIENCE TO DEAL WITH THAT :)

OH YEAH, DID I MENTION THAT ONCE AGAIN LIKE WITH MY FIRST PREGNANCY I HAVE KIDNEY STONES. YEP, WHEN I WAS 7 MONTHS PREGGERS WITH GRIFFIN I PASSED 2 KIDNEY STONES AND SO FAR I HAVE PASSED ONE BUT I KNOW THERE ARE MORE. I GUESS IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH CALCIUM. SO IT ALWAYS FEELS LIKE I HAVE TO PEE ALL DAY LONG- FUN, RIGHT!

WELL, JUST WANTED TO CHECK IN AND FILL YOU ALL IN ON WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON.

SO IT HAS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I HAVE DONE A BLOG AND THAT IS B/C I HAVE BEEN SO BUSY TRAVELING. WE WENT TO CALIFORNIA FOR A WEEK AND IT WAS SO GREAT TO SEE FRIENDS AND FAMILY. THEN WE CAME HOME AND I WAS HERE FOR ONE DAY THEN ME AND JASON WENT OUT OF TOWN FOR THE WEEKEND AND MY MOM BABYSAT GRIFFIN. WE GOT BACK YESTERDAY AND TODAY I HAD A DOCTOR APPOINTMENT AND I AM DOING LAUNDRY, PACKING AND GETTING EVERYTHING READY TO LEAVE AGAIN TOMORROW. TOMORROW WE GO TO FLORIDA UNTIL DECEMBER 2 :) BUT I WILL BE UPDATING MY BLOG FROM FLORIDA.

Pampering Myself!!!!!!

So this weekend I have decided to take some time out for me :) Yep, no Jason and no griffin, although I will miss them- not really :) I am getting my hair cut tomorrow, and you may be saying big deal- but yes it is a big deal b/c it is very hard to do this with Griffin. Jason works during the week so i can't go mon-fri b/c who would watch griffin?? So, tomorrow after his swim lessons i am off to get my hair cut and styled, and yes, it is before his nap time, so then i can come home and relax while he is napping.

Then Sunday morning at 10 am, i am treating myself to a prenatal massage for an hour and a half. I have decided that i am going to get one of these every month until baby number 2 arrives- so that is 3 massages :) and if you have ever been preggers you know what a godsend the prenatal massage is :) and yes, i should make it home right as griffin is going down to nap again :) So 2 free mornings in a row all to myself- i can hardly contain my excitement!

Oh yeah, and stay tuned for the announcement of the name we have chosen for Griffin's little sister :)

The "older" mothers

So, Griffin doesn't like to eat- big shocker! He is a very picky eater. I was a picky eater as well, and as my mom likes to say payback is a bitch, and yes, she was right. At first i used to call the doctor every other day and take griffin in to the doctor b/c he doesn't like to eat. The nurses and doctors have all assured me that this is very normal and most toddlers don't eat much. So , i have decided not to be concerned with this sinceI have other things to think about right now. Like, um, a baby is coming in 3 months and we need to get a nursery together, pick a name, yada yada. And i am taking griffin to California and that is a 6 hour plane ride so that is consuming my mind everyday about how sucky that ride is going to be. But back to griffin not eating, so okay, i figure one day he is going to have to eat, right? Right! I mean don't get me wrong there are a few staples to his diet- crystal light, juice, milk, yogart smoothies, dunkin donuts, gold fish crackers and mcdonalds french fries- that about covers it. So when he eats fries i am like wow, he ate fries, i mean hello, fries are potatoes right?, so he is eating his veggies :)

But like i said i am not concerned b/c it is just a phase. Once the "older" mother finds out what Griffin eats i feel like i am being scolded by a mother figure (not you mom, bc/ you understand how it is). In my neighborhood most of the moms have kids around griffin's age but they are like 10 + years older than me! the average mom is 40 in my neighborhood and i guess b/c they are older they are the type moms that puree all the organic food for their babies, don't let them drink juice, etc.- that' s the mom i am talking about. Shit, go to the market and get some gerber jars- seriously! i mean who has that kind of time- not me! so they all say wow, aren't you worried he doesn't eat, and i say no he eats, and i tell them what he eats and they can't believe i take him to mcdonalds. yep, these are the type of people i deal with on an everyday basis. then they tell me that b/c he doesn't go to bed until 8:30 pm and sleeps all night until 7:30-8am and he naps for 2 hours in the middle of the day that he is going to bed too late. HUH!!!!! he sleeps all night, what is wrong with that. The older" mom says he should be going to bed at 7pm. Well, let me tell you something those kids that go to bed at 7 wake up at 6 am, sorry, i need my beauty sleep, and at 7 we are just sitting down to eat, they all eat at 5pm, i guess the early bird special! It's just like they are all alpha moms and i am pretty laid back about griffin. so far he seems to be a normal healthy kid- so i think we are doing something right.

I could go on and on with different stores about the "older" mom but i don't want to bore you. I am just glad that for me, i had my kids when i was younger b/c shit when i am 40 griffin will be 13. I couldn't imagine being 40 and having a one year old- yikes!

I'm Bored

Griffin is napping and I have alreay eaten and watched my tivo, i am exhausted but can't sleep, why can't i sleep during the day??? i have been cursed and i can't nap during the day , it is insane. i will lay there and nothing, just can't do it. So, i figured i would post a pic of griffin and bentley. if anyone has any napping tips let me know!

Pats vs. the Cowboys

Okay, so this upcoming weekend the Pat are playing the cowboys and people here ask who are you cheering for? Well, I say, that's an easy,. the team that doesn't cheat! I am planning on cheering for the Dallas Cowboys against the Patriots this weekend. People are in shock, how can you cheer for another team, you live in New England. Yep, I sure do, and I love Tom Brady. He is HOT HOT HOT!!!! But, I just can't bring myself to cheer for cheaters, and they admitted the cheated! And what is really sad about the whole cheating thing is, they didn't need to cheat. the Pats are a kick ass team and didn't need to resort to that, they would have won anyways. They truly are that good. But they did cheat and i am not cheering for them this season. If you ask someone here in Boston, gosh it sure sux that the Pats did that, and all they can say is, oh well, who cares, everyone cheats- good morals they are teaching their kids!!!! So, i am going to be the black fish this weekend, and me and griffin are cheering for the Cowboys :) We are going to wear our cowboy attire out and about and be proud. And you ask who Jason is cheering for???? He has turned into a true new englander b/c he is cheering for the Pats! Oh well, what can you do. I'm sure that the cowboys are going to loose but hey, at least they have heart and don't need to cheat! But yes, Brady is still HOT!

Oh yeah, and how 'bout them red sox!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so after turning over her kids to K-FEd yesterday you would think that Brit Brit woud be sad to leave her kids or at least try and change her ways. WRONG!!

(an excerpt from perezhilton) She went to get some burgers at Carl’s Jr. She dropped off her kids to K-Fed’s bodyguard. She went tanning. She went to the DMV. She spent time at the Peninsula Hotel.
And, Britney even managed to find time to squeeze in to her busy schedule to have dinner at Nobu in Malibu on Monday night.
How does she do it all? She’s a superwoman!

All i can say is I feel so sorry for small fry and tater tot!

I need a vacation!

So, I am not trying to be selfish or anything and maybe it is just my pregnancy hormones getting to me, but I need a vacation. Nothing fancy, just a weekend away. I'm not sure if the 3 people that read this are aware but in the last 16 months (yep, today he is 16 months :) :) I have only been away overnight one time from griffin. Sure we have gone to dinner and stuff while my mom and dad watch griffin or we have a sitter here but we, i mean I (jason gets a break from me and griff when we go to Cali and florida for 3 weeks :) ) have only been gone one night while my mom and dad watched him so me and jason could go out. These past few months I have been moody and cranky, and like I said it could be the pregnancy or it could just be the biancardi genes, i'm not sure but I think I need a getaway if i am going to be of any use to griffin, b/c i am tired, cranky, and my patience is wearing very thin these days.... So if anyone has any ideas for me, please let me know, b/c at the end of january we will have 2 little ones around and i have a feeling it will be a very very long time before we get a vacation. For those of you that have family and friends that live nearby, lucky you! I totally took all my friends for granted when I lived in Dallas, and you can bet your ass I won't be making that mistake again if we ever move back!

Cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning

So, i have decided to write about something other than Griffin for once. I have decided to write about another one of my favorite topics, no not britney, but HELLO, can we say major trainwreck! i almost feel sorry for the poor girl, no, not really. I am deciding to write about ME, duh!!!!

So, today I cleaned house for 2 hours, and for those of you that know me, you know I HATE HATE HATE to clean. So, I am guessing my maternal instincts were kicking in and this is why I was cleaning. And when I say clean, I mean clean. I cleaned to whole house top to bottom all 3 floors, i cleaned toilets, washed tubs and showers, I even mopped the floors. I cleaned the entire kitchen- the stove, fridge, microwave, oven anddishwasher. I even cleaned out the fridge. So, hello what is the point of this you may ask, big deal you cleaned.... Man, was I tired.........

MORAL OF THE STORY- Monday, check into cleaning lady :) :) :)

Griffin Update

So, most of you know that the past few weeks Griffin has been under the weather, but this week he seems to be doing much better. He had had diarrhea for like 2 weeks straight, you can't imagine how happy I was to see a real stinky in his diaper this week. How funny is that, i get happy when griffin has a hard stool, my how life is funny!

So, this week we started our fall schedule. i am trying to get Griffin involved in activities with other kids so he gets used to being around children more. On Tuesdays he does music class with a neighbor and he really seemed to enjoy that. On Wednesday he goes to the tumble gym for 45 minutes to run around with the other brats (but mainly I do this so he will take along nap ). Then on Thursdays he does a playgroup with about 9 other boys his age, so that is good for him to learn to play.

Tomorrow he starts swim lessons with Jason so I will put a new pic up of that on Monday.

This Past Week

So this past week Jason's family has been in town for a visit. While here we have gone to Maine, downtown, newburyport and the beach.

Jason's sister is here with her 10 month old and lets just say Griffin doesn't do well with sharing his toys. Everytime Zachary goes for a toy griffin goes and steals it from him. Hopefully in the next 5 months before baby girl comes, he will learn some manners.

Oh yeah, we also discovered that griffin likes pepperoni pizza :) Hope you enjoy the pics of griffin and zachary. can you guess whos butt is whos :) :) :)

oh yeah, and did you hear about my boy becks, out for 6 weeks!!!!!!!!!! At least he didn't injure that beautiful face!

Baby News!!!!!

well, we found out today what we are having......................


Griffin is going to have a little sister!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, i don't really have anything exciting to write about, but my mom wanted me to do a new post, so here it is.

I guess I am going to write about how Griffin has finally decided to eat. As many of you know, Griffin, doesn't like to eat food, except for his bottle and ice cream. But the past 3 days he has had flounder, salmon, french toast, meatballs and yogurt. Now, he isn't eating a lot of it, but hey it's a start. Way to hang in there Griffin!!! Anyway, I will do a new post on Monday once we find out the sex of Griffin's younger sibling.

Fetus Update

So, i went to the doctor yesterday and everything looks good. we are at 16 weeks and the estimated due date is sometime w/in the week of January 27- February 3, 2008. I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks, Monday, August 27 and we will find out if it is a girl or a boy for griffin to play with.

Back from Florida

So, we finally made it back to Boston yesterday. We were supposed to come back on WEdnesday but we stayed for one extra day. We had such a good time that we are going back again for 3 weeks in November b/c after that i won't be able to travel until the baby is born :)

Griffin has a blast in Florida. We went swimming in the pool, went to the beach, went boating, went swimming in the ocean and went to the aquarium. And of course he did some shopping and dining as well.

He had lots of fun with his nona and papa and he can't wait to see them again soon :)

I have a doctor appointment on Monday so I will fill you all in on how that goes.
