SO THANKSGIVING BREAK COMES TO AN END TODAY, AND IT WENT BY WAY TO FAST. WE HAD A GREAT WEEK AND NOW WE ARE COUNTING DOWN UNTIL CHRISTMAS. MY MOM AND DAD CAME TO TOWN MONDAY AND WE JUST HUNG OUT WITH THE KIDS UNTIL THANKSGIVING. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICS ABOVE WE HAD A LOW KEY THANKSGIVING AT HOOTERS............JUST KIDDING! BUT WE DID GO EAT THERE ON KIDS EAT FREE TUESDAYS. YEP MY BOY LOVES HOOTS SO THE WHOLE FAM WENT. THEN FOR THANKSGIVING WE CELEBRATED HERE WITH MY MOM AND DAD AND JASON'S PARENTS STOPPED BY. THEN FRIDAY WE BRAVED THE SHOPPERS AND WENT TO THE MALL- YEP WE SURE DID. THEN THAT NIGHT WE ALL WENT OVER TO JASON'S PARENTS HOUSE TO CELEBRATE AGAIN. IT WAS NICE TO SEE GRIFFIN AND TITI PLAY WITH THEIR COUSIN ZACH OVER THERE AND TITI LOVED CHASING AROUND JASON'S PARENTS DOG (HE HAS A LONG TAIL AND OUR DOG DOESN'T HAVE A TAIL). SATURDAY JASON TOOK THE KIDS TO TUMBLE GYM THEN WE ALL HUNG OUT WITH MY MOM AND DAD. THEN THAT NIGHT ME AND JASON ACTUALLY WENT OUT WITH ONE OF JASON'S FRIENDS AND HIS GIRLFRIEND AND WE HAD LOTS OF FUN. IT IS ALWAYS NICE WHEN MY MOM AND DAD COME TO VISIT B/C THEY BABYSIT FOR US. TODAY WE PUT ALL THE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS AROUND THE HOUSE AND PUT UP THE TREE. GRIFFIN LOVES CHRISTMAS TIME AND WE HOPE TITI WILL TOO. TOMORROW WE ARE TAKING THE KIDS TO GET THEIR PICTURE TAKEN WITH SANTA. I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT THANKSGIVING.

SO THE FAMILY HAD A NICE RELAXING WEEKEND. FRIDAY WE HAD DINNER WITH KIM AND BECTON AND THE KIDS LOVE TO SEE THEM. GRIFFIN ALWAYS GETS A SMILE ON HIS FACE WHEN WE HANG WITH THEM. SATURDAY JASON TOOK BOTH KIDS TO TUMBLE GYM, SO THEY WERE ALL VERY TIRED- POOR JASON! 2 HOURS OF KIDS AT THE TUMBLE GYM :) SUNDAY WE HAD LUNCH AT THE DALLAS GALLERIA WITH MY FRIENDS KIM AND STARA. THIS WAS STARA'S FIRST TIME TO MEET THE KIDS AND SHE DID GREAT! I AM JUST SO GLAD THAT NEITHER KID CRIED OR THREW ANY TANTRUMS SINCE THEY HAD NEVER MET HER BEFORE. WE EVEN GOT A MENTION IN HER BLOG :) (CHECK OUT RANDOM RANTINGS ON MY BLOG PAGE). SO ANYWAY, WE HAD A NICE LUNCH AND IT WAS GREAT TO CATCH UP. I AM PRETTY MUCH THE ONLY ONE OUT OF MY DALLAS FRIENDS THAT HAS KIDS EXCEPT MER SO IT IS GREAT THAT MY CHILDLESS FRIENDS MAKE AN EFFORT TO HANG OUT WITH ME AND THE KIDS- I HAVE GREAT FRIENDS!

TOMORROW MY MOM AND DAD COME FOR THE WEEK SO ME AND THE KIDS ARE REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SPENDING TIME WITH THEM. I WILL BE SURE TO POST PICS FROM OUR FUN-FILLED WEEK.

SO WITH THE HOLIDAYS UPON US I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT EVERYTHING THAT I AM THANKFUL FOR. I AM THANKFUL FOR SO MANY THINGS THESE DAYS THAT I COULD PROBABLY JUST GO ON AND ON BUT I WON'T. BUT I WILL TELL YOU A FEW THINGS THAT I AM THANKFUL FOR.

I AM SO THANKFUL FOR MY FAMILY. I HAVE THE BETS KIDS EVER. SURE THEY AREN'T PERFECT, BUT MOST OF THE TIME THEY ARE PRETTY DAMN CLOSE. GRIFFIN SURPRISES ME EVERYDAY WITH SOME NEW PHRASE OR SAYING AND HE JUST MAKES MY DAY. TITI LIGHTS UP MY MORNING WHEN I SEE HER SMILING FACE AND SHE IS STANDING UP IN HER CRIB AND THAT LITTLE SMILE AND GIGGLE- SHE GETS ME EVERY TIME. I JUST COULDN'T IMAGINE MY LIFE W/O THESE LITTLE BRATS!

I AM THANKFUL FOR JASON AND ALL THAT HE DOES FOR US. HE IS A GREAT HUSBAND AND AN AMAZING FATHER. THE KIDS BOTH WORSHIP HIM AND THEY GO CRAZY FOR HIM, AND VISE VERSA. WE ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE HIM. HE'S THE BEST.

I AM THANKFUL FOR MY PARENTS. MY PARENTS ARE CRAZY ABOUT THESE KIDS AND THESE KIDS ARE CRAZY ABOUT THEM. I KNOW TITI IS LITTLE AND DOESN'T GET IT YET BUT I CAN TELL SHE LOVES THEM. AND THEN THERE IS GRIFFIN, HE IS CRAZY ABOUT MY MOM AND DAD. HE TALKS ABOUT THEM EVERYDAY AND REALLY MISSES THEM. HOPEFULLY ONE DAY THEY WILL LIVE CLOSE BY. FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE FAMILY NEAR BY, DON'T TAKE IT FOR GRANTED!!!

AND I AM REALLY REALLY THANKFUL FOR TIVO. I DON'T KNOW HOW I EVER LIVED BEFORE W/O TIVO. TIVO IS AMAZING. I MEAN I LOVE THE FACT THAT I CAN RECORD 5 SHOWS AT ONE TIME AND THEN WATCH MY SHOWS W/O COMMERCIALS-GENIUS!!!! NOW I CAN WATCH ALL MY TEEN BOP SHOWS WHEN THE KIDS AND JASON GO TO BED. SO LAST WEEK MY MOM AND DAD AND FRIEND DANIELLE ALL CAME FOR A VISIT. MY MOM AND DAD GOT HERE DURING THE WEEK AND DANIELLE ARRIVED OVER THE WEEKEND. WE HAD LOTS OF FUN EXCEPT FOR THE KIDS WEREN'T FEELING TOO WELL :( BUT AT LEAST DANI B REALLY GOT TO SPEND LOTS OF TIME WITH THE FAMILY. I MET HER AT FLIGHT TRAINING WHEN WE WERE PUT TOGETHER AS ROOMMATES AND WE HAVE SINCE REMAINED GREAT FRIENDS. WE WENT OUT SATURDAY NIGHT WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS AND WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND IT WAS SO NICE TO HAVE MY MOM AND DAD HERE TO BABYSIT :) NEXT TIME, ME AND JASON ARE GOING TO GO VISIT DANIELLE IN BATON ROUGE AND EAT LOTS OF CRAW FISH AND CAJUN FOOD. WE ARE SO GLAD DANI B CAME TO VISIT AND WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HER AGAIN. WE ALSO HAD FUN WITH MY MOM AND DAD, IT IS ALWAYS NICE WHEN THEY COME TO VISIT THE KIDS. Last week I went to dinner with a group of friends that I hadn't seen in a really long time and while I was out Jason and Matt Becton took the kids to hooters for dinner. Griffin must have had a good time b/c everytime we pass by hooters he gets really excited and starts talking about it and says , "becton, dada Hooters". he always wants to go there now. Jason created a hooters monster and jason and becton both bought him shirts from hooters and he wants to wear them all the time. And titi got offered a job there when she turns 16 b/c she has the ass to back it up :)

Above are pics from our Halloween festivities. Griffin had a blast at his preschool party and all the classes said how cute he was in his skunk outfit- but he thinks he is a dog. At school they had a parade and a pizza party then I came and did a craft project with the kiddos.

Tonight was Halloween and we took the kids trick or treating in our neighborhood. We made sure to stop by our friends houses. Breslin and Kara were outside waiting for us with lots of candy. Then it was time to go to the Becton house for some Halloween fun. we had lots of fun and can't wait for the rest of the weekend.

THIS PAST WEEKEND WE DIDN'T DO MUCH. EVERYONE WAS GETTING OVER BEING SICK SO WE JUST LAID LOW. SATURDAY GRIFFIN GOT A HAIRCUT AND THEN WE WENT TO A RADIO DISNEY FAIR AND THAT PRETTY MUCH SUMS UP OUR SATURDAY. ON SUNDAY JASON HAD TO WORK SO I TOOK THE KIDS TO THE GALLERIA TO MEET UP WITH JASON FOR LUNCH AT MI COCINA AND THEN WE WALKED AROUND THE MALL. LATER THAT DAY WE WENT TO THE PARK AND THAT ABOUT WRAPS IT UP.

WE HAVE A PRETTY BUSY WEEK AHEAD OF US. TONIGHT IS GRIFFIN'S OPEN HOUSE AND TOMORROW JASON HAS A WORK THING SO IT WILL BE AN ALL DAY AFFAIR FOR ME AND THE KIDS. ON WEDNESDAY I AM GOING OUT TO DINNER WITH SOME FRIENDS AND THURSDAY I HAVE GRIFFIN'S HALLOWEEN PARTY THAT I AM IN CHARGE OF AND............FRIDAY IS HALLOWEEN! I'M SURE I WILL POST PICS THIS UPCOMING WEEKEND.

So on sunday Jason surprised us with a trip to the zoo. We had such a good time. Griffin's favorite animal was the penguin and elephant and titi liked it all. Griffin touched sting rays and fed a bird. It was a great little outing for our family. We can't wait to go back :)

1. I have a bit of a wild side to me, although since I have had kids I have become pretty conservative. I have a butterfly tattoo and I still want one more. Once when I was in high school, i told my mom i was staying at my friend kim's house and she said the same thing about staying at my house. And in reality a group of friends went to Galveston for the weekend (sorry mom). I threw a few parties at my house when in high school as well and mom and dad never found out about all of them :) I could say more but i will keep you all wondering :)

2. my favorite movie is with six you get eggroll. that's right I am sure you have never heard of it- it is called "With Six You Get Eggroll". such a great happy movie! Love love love it! A great classic from the 60's with Doris Day & Brian Keith. Please try and rent it or for those of you that live here you can borrow mine! I love movies. I love everything about them. Maybe it is b/c my mom loves movies and I am from California, land of the movie studios. I especially love the old silly movies from the 60's where everyone is always happy. I love all 3 James dean movies, favorite actor ever (this is why I love James Franco- he looks like James dean).

3. I love classic rock! I love Pink Floyd, The Doors, Neil Young, The Beatles, CCR and The Stones. I have to thank my mom and dad for getting me into classic rock. They were always into music and it is because of them that I can appreciate good music. The music of today is nothing compared to what it used to be. Back then the song writing meant something, the singers actually wrote their own lyrics and there wasn't all this pop crap that is out today. Don't get me wrong, I think there is some good music today but nothing compared to what it used to be.

4. I can't sleep at night. I have such a hard time trying to fall asleep at night. I lay awake for hours trying to get to sleep and then finally once I have fallen into a nice deep sleep I am once again awake b/c titi still gets up one to two times at night. Oh how I wish I could sleep!

5. I love TV. Yep, I am such a couch potato- thank god for tivo. I love the old 90210, the hills, project runway, and especially one tree hill! I love one tree hill so much I named my daughter after Peyten on the show. I love the character Peyten. She is beautiful, smart, funny, into art, I love her sense of style and hello she is going to marry Lucas. Seriously, i think that character is a strong, great role model for girls. And I love the name Peyten. One of my choices for baby names was Dylan, Duh!!! But Jason said no but he agreed to Peyten :) and the rest is history.

6. I love Ninfa's spinach enchilada's. love love love them. Can't wait to make a drive to Waco one weekend to go eat me some spinach enchiladas and have a big ninfarita.

All Dressed Up

So just wanted to do a quick post. Here's proof that I wore a dress AND wore my hair down- NO PONYTAIL! When Griffin saw me that night he got a big smile on his face and said "mama" like wow mama! He wasn't used to seeing me outside my "mommy clothes".

That's all... just wanted to show you that I can get dressed up. It doesn't happen often but it does happen :)

Pumpkin Patch Weekend

So we had a really nice weekend. On Friday night Jason's parents came over to babysit for us so that we could go out with our friends for a yummy dinner. We had so much fun with our friends and I know the kids had fun with their grandparents. Saturday we hung around and watched a lot of football, and the kids enjoyed sporting some Texas spirit. Sunday, we took the kids to Celina, TX to the pumpkin patch. We had lots of fun at the patch. We fed the animals, picked some pumpkins, ate some hot dogs and took lots of pictures. We had a great weekend and we are so happy that Jason didn't have to go to work.

MISC.

So we are back from our trip to California and my mom and dad were here for a week which was so nice! i always have such fun with my mom and dad and of course the kid love having them around. The only bad thing was we went out to eat so much i seriously gained about 6 pounds- seriously!!!!! back to the gym tomorrow! but honestly, we had such a great time together i hated to see them leave. It was tough on Griffin when they left. He kept saying, "noni, papa no work". He wanted them to stay here. Every time he sees a plane he gets sad and says, "no work, noni and papa". Bless his little heart! He cant wait till thanksgiving to see them again. It was really nice while they were here b/c me and Jason also got to go have a fancy dinner Saturday at Bob's Steak and Chop House. I even wore a dress and had my hair down. When Griffin saw me he got a big smile on his face b/c he isn't used to seeing me outside of mommy clothes. I have some pics but still need to download so I will post those this weekend.

This week we have gotten back into our routine. School, playgroups, gym, everything. Oh yeah, and i am the new room mom for Griffin's preschool. that means for every holiday and party I am in charge. Good thing my friend Kim works with little kids and has lots of great ideas. I think Griffin's classroom is going to have the best Halloween party ever!!!

We also have some fun things planned for this weekend so I promise to post pics :)

SO WE JUST GOT BACK FROM OUR CALIFORNIA TRIP AND WE HAD SUCH A GOOD TIME. WE ARRIVED THURSDAY AND RAN SOME ERRANDS AND SPENT SOME TIME WITH MY GRANDMOTHER (MY DADS MOM). THEN THAT EVENING WE WENT TO TAKE THE KIDS TO SOUTH COAST PLAZA B/C NO TRIP TO THE OC WOULD BE COMPLETE W/O A TRIP TO SOUTH COAST PLAZA. GRIFFIN LOVES TO SHOP! THEN FRIDAY WE WENT TO FASHION ISLAND, B/C LIKE I SAID WE LOVE TO SHOP! THEN THAT EVENING WE WENT TO VISIT MY GRANDPA (MY MOMS DAD). WE HAD LOTS OF FUN SEEING MY AUNTS AND GRIFFIN'S COUSIN SAVANNAH. SHE IS ALMOST 4 AND HER AND GRIFFIN GOT ALONG REALLY WELL. THEN SATURDAY WE WENT TO A FRIENDS DAUGHTERS 5TH BIRTHDAY PARTY AND LOTS OF FUN WAS HAD BY ALL. THEN THAT EVENING WE GOT TOGETHER WITH SOME MORE FRIENDS THAT EVENING. SUNDAY WAS MY GRANDPA'S 90TH BIRTHDAY PARTY AND WE GOT TO SPEND THE EVENING WITH ALL OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.
